I loved Becky's idea of displaying the idea of contrast or juxtaposition by way of a photo. I seea lot of contrasts in my soon-to-be-past city of Portland and wanted to capture them. The bad news was that my camera battery charger is packed and somewhere in a box in another state. So I only had one chance for each of these shots and I know we are only supposed to post one but the first two, while not "good photos" just made me smile.
Oh Liz, i'm so glad you posted three not just one, i can't tell you how my heart actually lept with joy looking at them (that sounds over the top, but it did, ok!) Juxtaposition is perhaps a better word, you're right. Anyway, this is a great photo and very interesing contrast. I like the composition too.
Becky, did you take the photos of contrasts on your other blog? They weren't credited to someone else, so, if they are yours - please consider posting them here. I think the more, the better!
oh no, i didn't take them, they were credited at the bottom of the post, and i e-mailed the photographer to check it was ok, he's good i think. HIs name is Jake Dobkin. If you click on his name were it's credited on my post then it goes to his site.
3 girls, 2 continents, 1 passion. We are excited to refine our photography skills in weekly topical photos and to discover how differently we each approach the same task.
